How to teach your kid to read time on a watch?

The younger generation also follows the latest fashion trends and demand for fashionable accessories that help them look cool. Watches are the most lovable accessories for children. They feel quite excited while wearing a trendy kids’ watch featuring playful characters and cool colors. Children usually love to wear time machines that come with their favorite cartoon characters or other colorful patterns. However, your child must know how to read time to make the best use of the watch that you tie on his or her wrist. Digital watches are good to start with, but your child should also be able to read standard analog watches.

The first step to teach them to read time is to tell the difference between seconds, minutes, and hours and which hand represents what. First let your kid know the basic difference between the big hand and little hand present in his time machine. Tell him that the little hand is for hours and the big hand is for minutes. Explain your little one the significance of numbers in his watch. Explain him as how 60 seconds make a minute and how 60 minutes make an hour. When your child would be able to differentiate between these simple mathematical calculations, he would enjoy reading the clock. Ask your kid to read time within two to three times a day, as it would help him learn in a better way. Make the process of time reading an enjoyable process for your kid by engaging him in games that require the use of time reading.
